FFM Account Creation

To sell ACA health insurance products, agents must complete the annual FFM training. The steps below outline the official process to create your account, access training, and complete certification.

Important: If you already have a CMS Enterprise Portal account, do not create a new one.


CREATE CMS ENTERPRISE ACCOUNT

  • Navigate to the CMS Enterprise Portal and select New User Registration.
  • Under the Choose Your Application menu, select Federally Facilitated Marketplace (FFM) / Request for MLMS Training Access.
  • Complete the required steps to create your account.
  • You will receive a confirmation email once your account has been successfully created.

REQUEST THE FFM AGENT BROKER ROLE

  • Log in to the CMS Enterprise Portal and click Add Application.
  • In the Access Catalog search bar, enter “Fed” and select Federally Facilitated Marketplace (FFM) / Request for MLMS Training Access.
  • On the next screen, select Agent Broker Training Access and click Next.

COMPLETE REMOTE IDENTITY PROOFING

  • Review the instructions and click Next to begin identity verification.
  • Enter and confirm your personal information and answer the identity verification questions.
    You will be prompted to log out and log back into the CMS Enterprise Portal once completed.
  • If your identity cannot be verified online, CMS will provide a phone number and code to complete verification directly with Experian.

CONFIRM YOUR MLMS PROFILE

  • Log in to the CMS Enterprise Portal and select the Marketplace Training – Agent Broker tile.
     
  • Click the MLMS Training link.
  • Complete all required fields in your MLMS profile.
     
  • Select Individual Marketplace Agent Broker as your role.
     
  • Verify your role, business, and professional contact information, then click Save/Update and Next to finalize your profile.

COMPLETE MLMS TRAINING & AGREEMENTS

  • From the CMS Enterprise Portal, click the Marketplace Training – Agent Broker tile.
     
  • Select the MLMS Training link and follow steps one through three on the MLMS Landing Page to enroll in and complete the Individual Marketplace Agent Broker Training.

CONFIRM REGISTRATION STATUS

Note:
Your information may take 1–2 business days to appear in the system.
It may take up to 3 business days to appear on Find Local Help.

Verify that your name appears on the CMS Agent & Brokers FFM Registration Completion List.
